James Webb teleskop

The James Webb Telescope, commonly referred to as the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), is an advanced space telescope designed to observe astronomical objects in infrared wavelengths. Launched on December 25, 2021, JWST is a collaborative project of NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). It aims to study the formation of stars and galaxies, the composition of exoplanet atmospheres, and the early universe’s evolution. The telescope features a large primary mirror with a diameter of 6.5 meters, which allows it to gather more light than its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope. JWST operates at a location known as the second Lagrange point (L2), approximately 1.5 million kilometers from Earth, where it maintains a stable position relative to the Earth and Sun for uninterrupted observations. The telescope’s sophisticated instruments provide unprecedented capabilities for scientific exploration in the field of astronomy and cosmology.
